Full Preventative Maintenance Package
Also known as a "tuneup," this service is the first step in any seasonal care or repair diagnosis. The full preventative maintenance package applies to both gas- and battery-powered hedge trimmers, including single- and double-sided, extended-reach, and pole hedge trimmers. Dull or misaligned blades tear branches instead of cutting them, which stresses your shrubs and the trimmer's engine or motor. Use this service regularly (we recommend at least once every 12 months, or more often with heavy use) to prevent costly repairs and downtime! - Check hand guard, blade guard, and rotating/adjustable handle
- Check anti-vibration mounts, handles, hardware, and fasteners
- Perform an operational test at idle and full throttle; confirm blades stop at idle
Fuel, Air & Ignition System + Engine Inspection
- Inspect fuel lines, fuel tank vent, and primer bulb
- Clean and adjust carburetor (new carburetor if unserviceable, sold separately at discounted rate)
- Replace air filter, fuel filter, and spark plug
- Clean cylinder fins and engine cooling area of debris
- Inspect recoil starter, muffler, and spark arrestor screen
