Full Preventative Maintenance Package
Also known as a "tuneup," this service is the first step in any seasonal care or repair diagnosis. The full preventative maintenance package applies to both gas- and battery-powered chainsaws, including top-handle and pole saws. Use this service regularly (we recommend at least once every 12 months, or more often with heavy use) to prevent costly repairs and accidents! Whatever brand you own, B&R Lawnmower Shop can help keep your saw ready for the job.

Gas-Powered Chainsaw Service (2-Stroke Engine)
Safety Features & Controls
- Check chain brake and chain brake handle/hand guard operation
- Check throttle trigger, throttle lockout, and stop switch
- Check chain catcher, handles, anti-vibration mounts, and hardware
- Perform an operational test at idle and full throttle
Fuel, Air & Ignition System + Engine Inspection
- Inspect fuel lines, fuel tank vent, and primer bulb
- Clean and adjust carburetor (new carburetor if unserviceable, sold separately at discounted rate)
- Replace air filter, fuel filter, and spark plug
- Clean cylinder fins, starter cover, and flywheel area of sawdust and debris
- Inspect recoil starter, muffler, and spark arrestor screen
- Basic engine multi-point inspection
Bar, Chain & Oiling System
- Sharpen saw chain and set depth gauges (new chain if unserviceable, sold separately at discounted rate)
- Clean bar groove and oil holes; dress bar rails and flip bar for even wear
- Inspect and lubricate bar sprocket nose
- Inspect drive sprocket and clutch for wear
- Clean and test bar oil pump and adjust chain tension
